The Toronto Star: K-pop Repaying it’s Debt to Black Culture (2020)

As a Black fan of Korean pop music Sadé explores the genre’s history of anti-black behaviour despite being hugely influenced by Black culture. With the Black Lives Matter movement having gained significant momentum following the police killing of George Floyd, it seems that K-pop fans are finally taking action to support the community that has shaped the careers of their favourite Korean idols.

Roseate Magazine (2019)

Sadé worked alongside Editor-In-Chief and founder Louise Mangalino to produce day-in-the-life and get-to-know articles highlighting several multidimensional artists across the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) for the first two issues of Roseate Magazine. These artists include graphic designer Sandra Daranikone, illustrators Alpo Snow, Tabban Soleimani, Adam Bosley and producer Shagabond. Sadé was invited into their creative spaces to discuss their craft, personal/professional journeys, daily routine and inspirations.
